ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Tom "Wonsuk" Jeong is a senior  at Fulton Science Academy, the proud founder of Youth Refugee Network. His interest in refugee education began while attending school in Atlanta. He connected with the ReGeneration Movement based in Clarkson GA, and met many refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, and South Sudan. He helped organize the Coffee Truck series, a roving performance even where refugees would tell their stories and perform, raising funds for supplies for emerging diasporas. He and the Youth Refugee Network team are currently running a one-on-one mentoring program for the children of young refugees and fundraising for educational supplies.
